Sterling claims that Crosby was compromised through his decades-long friendship and a series of personal/business transactions with Lohnes.Ĭrosby and Lohnes's friendship began when they met in the National Guard in the 1970s.
Lohnes is alleged to have had numerous contacts with Crosby in 2012 while Wynn was searching for a new place to locate a casino after failing to pull together a deal at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.
Lohnes was a majority owner in FBT Everett Realty, a partnership that owned 36-acres of land in Everett (just outside Boston) polluted over decades by chemical manufacturing giant Monsanto. In Sterling's amended Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organization (RICO) Act complaint, first filed in September 2018 seeking $3 billion, Steven Storch, and Joe Donahue, outlined a hidden deal between Crosby and Paul Lohnes a land developer in Boston.
